Hi Lakisha. I make and sell vegan frozen desserts from a 300 sq. ft. kitchen. NY State Department of Agriculture and Markets offers a "Home Processor Exemption" for people who are baking, and some other products. Here's the phone number- (800) 554-4501 and here's the link- https://www.agriculture.ny.gov/ I think you may want to simply begin making your product, and offering it to people. Let me know how you make out- J. Spica info@newconfectioner.com

Hi Lakisha! I agree with James. Starting from home seems like a good thing to pursue. If there are any shared commercial kitchen spaces near you (like Hot Bread Kitchen in Harlem or South Fork Kitchens -- http://www.amagansettfoodinstitute.org/south-fork-kitchens/food-business-incubator), check out what events they offer. These spaces usually host free events geared towards people who are trying to get started.

Thank you for your responses. Yes I figured I would have to start home first then branch out. Thanks again
