Program Update

Mentees and Mentors,

We appreciate your interest in mentorship. Please be advised that after March 31, 2024, the Business Mentor NY Program will cease to operate. However, you can continue to access mentoring services by contacting Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers in your area at esd.ny.gov/eac-directory to obtain one-on-one counseling with your current business idea or small business.

If you would like to continue offering pro bono mentoring services to entrepreneurs or small business owners, please email us at nylovessmbiz@esd.ny.gov with your core business skills, experience or education and your preferred service area.

How I can help

My professional background

36 year career veteran at GE Appliances. Held several significant leadership positions including VP of Business Development, VP of Distribution, VP of Service, General Manager of Sales, and General Manager of The Home Depot Business Group. Possess broad knowledge of all aspects of running a large corporation. Left GE Appliances in 2021 to create my own start-up company, Hot Iron Pantry. Hot Iron Pantry sells spices/seasonings online, to retail grocery outlets, and restaurants. At the conclusion of 2023 the business was transitioned to a new owner (I am now "semi retired") and as such looking to mentor young individuals who want to succeed with their business efforts.
