What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

I have applied for and received my Employer Identification number. I have done the research into a sellers permit but I am unsure I need one since I will be selling produce. If I need it I can get it quickly and affordably. My greatest challenge has been my local Town Hall. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I have not been able to reach anyone to inquire about a license for conducting business out of my home.

About my venture

Piccirillo Verdura

I chose Agriculture/Farming to describe my venture but, was torn between farming and food product/ Grocery. My plan is to grow and sell micro greens. Microgreens are vegetable greens harvested just after the cotyledon leaves have developed ( about two weeks for most varieties). Microgreens are super nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing. My target market is high end restaurants and farmers markets. I have built the room required to control temperature and humidity in my home. I have purchased my full rack system and all of the equipment and supplies to get started. With my purchase of the system came two days of training that I have completed on line. I was hoping the owner/instuctor would sign off as my mentor but I do not think he is comfortable or familiar with the SEAP program. The grow room is almost complete. As soon as I finish taping/sanding I can paint and set up the rack and begin growing. I would like to try one tray for personal use to see how everything goes.
