About my venture

The Art of Words Community School Started 2021

The Art of Words Community School or TAWCS is a K-12 school located at 52 Bridge Street in Brooklyn, NY. We are an independent school that uses the CLAP method of learning. CLAP stands for Community, Literacy, Art, and Project-based learning. Essentially, we use the local and global community as part of our classroom curriculum and examine the writing and art of a community to understand its history, people, as well as its physical and cultural landscape.
