I am in need of a commercial kitchen to share. I have one connection, but would like to see if there is anything else out there. I have looked and have not found space that is available and affordable. I also struggle with promoting myself, so a strategy for marketing would be extremely helpful. Particularly what social media would be most beneficial and get me noticed. I will also need direction with budgeting and pricing. Pricing has been an issue. I do have a software program specific to cake baking/design and that has helped.
About my venture
A Cake Well Dunn
Started 2018
I have always loved to bake and create cakes and always had it in the back of my mind that I would eventually have my own custom cake design business. After moving to NY and commuting back and forth to CT for 2 years, I decided it was now or never. I have an active website, a Facebook group, and have formed an LLC. Down the road, I would love to have a space that is by appointment only, offering custom cakes. I don't necessarily want a full bakery. Eventually, I would also like to offer kids baking classes. As a cancer survivor, I would like to somehow offer celebration/special occasion cakes to those individuals and/or families that are dealing with the disease.
