What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

Currently, the biggest challenge is running being a solo entrepreneur not outsourcing. I handle all aspects of the business which includes, copywriting, social media marketing, graphic design, networking, and event management.

Actions I’ve taken so far

So far, I have created a social media presence that focuses on sharing writing resources, encouragement and hosting my personal writing and the writing of others. I have created and sold an Ebook and I am in the process of beginning my stationary line.

My future goals

In 10+ years, I will continue to stay true to my core values--- creating community and building safe environments for writers to share their full story. The vision for this business is to sustain creativity and storytelling. While learning the skill of storytelling is important, I also want to focus on the aspect of assisting writers in sharing their stories. This means creating a team that includes editors, writers, marketers and other creatives to produce and publish books written by those who have gone through our programming.

My motivations to work with a mentor

My motivation to work with a mentor is for the advancement of storytelling. Creating and maintaining a business is never easy; it comes with different challenges and hardships. Despite these challenges however, continuing to believe in its effect and impact on a community is what keeps me going and what encourages me to want to work with a mentor.

About my venture

Writing My Wrongs

I want to create a creative platform and community of writers who share their full unedited story. I seek to do this by creating informational content to assist writers in their journey, building community through workshops, events and services --- including ghostwriting, spoken word performance mentorship and editing.
