A few years back I had obtained my EIN number for a company name (Gifts of Simplicity) since have changed. I do not know how to remain with the same EIN number but change the name of the company which is now Hand-design Boutique. I signed up for the Certificate of Authority to collect taxes and I am stuck. Do I trademark my name

My future goal is to retire at 63 and have an online business to call my own. I don't want to work for anyone other than myself. I have been working so hard since I was 14 years old and it's time for me to work on myself and my dreams.

My motivation to work with a mentor is to gain experience, knowledge on the business aspect of the business. I want to absorb their knowledge being that they have already gone through the experience. I want to make sure my every step is legal.

Since October 2000 I have been creating handmade products. Through word of mouth, I have been selling them and also through Facebook and other social platforms. I hand-design, hand-paint, and handmake a variety of home decors such as candleholders, bookmarks, vases, bowls, keyrings and so much more. I feel the right time has come where I can create an online store and sell but I do not know how to proceed. I am in the crawling stages of my new venture and it's pretty scary for a newbie. HELP!
